Prizes and Awards

The APS College of Clinical Psychologists sponsors several annual and biannual awards that encourage and reward excellence in clinical psychology. For full details of these awards, click on the individual award.

College of Clinical Psychologists Student Prize

The APS College of Clinical Psychologists Student Prize acknowledges postgraduate clinical psychology students in Master, Doctor of Psychology programs, and combined Masters/PhD programs who demonstrate high levels of clinical skill, combined with the ability to design and conduct clinically relevant research. 

 

College of Clinical Psychologists Alastair Heron Prize

The Award encourages and rewards clinical psychologists for work in the area of adult ageing. As the population ages, there is a growing need to understand the processes and sequelae of human ageing and to develop appropriate therapies for psychological problems among older people.

 

College of Clinical Psychologists Ian M Campbell Memorial Prize

The Prize is intended to epitomize and encourage the professional values, teaching and practice of Ian M Campbell (1941-1987). The Prize seeks to promote and encourage excellence in clinical psychology and to reward and encourage psychologists as ‘scientist-practitioners’, for their contribution in research, therapy and / or social applicability. 

 

College of Clinical Psychologists Research Grant Award

The National Committee of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists supports and encourages members to undertake research projects in the scholarship and practice of clinical psychology. 

 

College of Clinical Psychologists (SA) Significant Contribution Award

The College of Clinical Psychologists (SA) Significant Contribution Award is granted biennially
to a member of the SA Section of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists who has made a significant contribution to clinical psychology in South Australia.

 

College of Clinical Psychologists (VIC) Postgraduate Students Clinical Research Grant Award

The Victorian committee of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists invites students undertaking a Masters of Clinical Psychology, Doctor of Clinical Psychology, and Combined Masters/PhD (Clinical) to apply for a grant to conduct clinically relevant research projects which meet the award eligibility criteria. 

 

 

College of Clinical Psychologists (VIC) Rural and Remote Professional Development Grant Award

The Victorian committee of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists supports and encourages Victorian Clinical College members to apply for a grant to undertake an online or in-person professional development event that is for members who live in a rural area.

 

College of Clinical Psychologists (Vic) Significant Contribution Award

The College of Clinical Psychologists (Vic) Significant Contribution Award is granted annually to a member of the Victorian section of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists who has made a significant contribution to clinical psychology in Victoria. 

 

College of Clinical Psychologists (WA) Significant Contribution Award

The College of Clinical Psychologists (WA) Significant Contribution Award is granted annually to a member of the WA Section of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists who has made a significant contribution to clinical psychology.
