Dr David Preece is a clinical psychologist and academic. He is a senior clinical lecturer at Curtin University, where he is the Director of the Perth Emotion & Psychopathology Lab. He also works clinically in private practice. David’s main research and practice interests are the assessment, understanding, and treatment of emotional disorders. He is particularly interested in the role that emotional awareness (alexithymia) and emotion regulation difficulties play in a variety of mental disorders, and how this understanding can be harnessed to design and improve transdiagnostic treatments. David has developed several psychometric measures of emotional functioning, which are now widely used around the world in clinical research and practice. David has volunteered on APS Clinical College committees since 2018; he is passionate about advocating for clinical psychologists, registrars, and students, and the vital role of clinical psychology in mental health systems across Australia.

A proud and active APS member for more than 20 years, and a member of the Clinical College since 2012, Jillian has been involved in APS activities at State and National levels for many years.

Jillian owns and runs a small group practice in Sydney, with areas of interest including complex trauma, and the integration of neurophysiological approaches with psychotherapy.

Jillian is passionate about health reform, and about equitable access to safe, high quality clinical services. An experienced Company Director, Jillian has served on a Primary Health Network Board and various advisory committees in the PHN space since 2012, and in 2018 was appointed to the Medicare Review Taskforce Mental Health Reference Group. As Chair, Health Policy, Jillian is keen to ensure that College members, the services we provide, and the communities we serve, are well-represented by the College and the APS.

Dr Kylie Henderson is a clinical psychologist and the Founder and Managing Director of The Better Health Generation Australia & UK.

Gavin Beccaria is an academic in the School of Psychology and Counselling at the University of Southern Queensland and a practicing clinical psychologist with over 27 years experience. Gavin has extensive supervision and teaching experience with psychology students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and he has provided clinical supervision for over 400 psychologists and psychologists in training. He also runs a private practice in clinical psychology. He previously worked at Qld health for 13 years across a wide variety of settings and across the lifespan.

Gavin has written book chapters on mental health assessment, diagnosis and disorders. He has also published in a wide range of topics including metal health, domestic violence, learning and teaching, work and career, clinical assessment, natural therapies, and Indigenous mental health in leading journals.

Dr Mary Gregory is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working across a wide range of settings in both public and private services. She currently runs PsychHelp, a telehealth psychology service. She also supervises psychology students at Victoria University and research students at Southern Cross University. She completed a PhD through the University of the Sunshine Coast examining an online parenting intervention. Having trained and worked in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and here in Australia she has a broad range of knowledge regarding the profession of clinical psychology and an understanding of the different models of psychological services available in different countries. Mary has a strong interest in supporting students and colleagues to develop their clinical skills and to support them to have a long and enjoyable career as a clinical psychologist.

Petra is a clinical psychologist in private practice and Director of Postgraduate Psychology at Murdoch University in Perth.

Petra has been registered as a psychologist since 2008, and works with complex trauma issues, including developmental trauma, first responder and veteran issues, refugee and torture trauma.

Dr Bethany Wootton is a Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology in the Graduate School of Health at the University of Technology Sydney.

Clinically, Dr Wootton focuses on the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. Dr Wootton's research primarily focuses on improving the assessment and identification of these conditions, as well as the development and evaluation of remote psychological treatments, with the goal of improving access to evidence-based treatment for individuals with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive spectrum conditions.

I am fortunate to be both a Counselling and Clinical Psychologist with a strong focus on public sector work, whilst maintaining a small private practice. I work in a Regional Centre and believe in the need for our profession to be skilled in a diversity of areas.

Dr Zoë Hazelwood is a Fellow of the APS and a passionate psychology educator. She is Director of Clinical Psychology Services at the QUT Health Clinic and is a senior lecturer at QUT, coordinating the professional Masters training programs for the School of Psychology and Counselling.

Zoë is a clinical psychologist and Board-approved supervisor with over 20 years’ experience as a psychologist and academic. Her practice has a focus on working with couples or individuals experiencing relationship distress, primarily using an emotionally focused therapy lens. She has also completed the Circle of Security intervention training and will utilise elements of ACT or CBT with her clients.

Zoë has won teaching awards for her work on teaching reflective practice to psychology students and she has been on successful category 1 competitive grant projects that explored the embedding of graduate attributes in the psychology curriculum.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and have been working in the field of mental health for over 25 years. I am passionate about improving access to psychological services and supporting clinicians in the psychology field. I enjoy utilising third wave psychological therapies and am trained in the use of EMDR.

I love supervising psychologists at all stages of their careers but especially early career and clinical registrar psychologists.

I am currently a CPD co-ordinator for the Clinical College and always happy to hear suggestions for future CPD opportunities that would be of benefit to members.

Dr Dixie Statham, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at Federation University, Ballarat, Victoria. She is a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists (CCLP), a member of the National CCLP Committee, & a member of the CCLP Committee for Victoria.

Dixie has a strong interest in the education of psychologists and in supporting students and early career psychologists to develop their professional identity, careers, and leadership skills in regional and rural communities.

Her research in substance misuse, trauma, anxiety and depression, has produced 100+ co-authored peer-reviewed papers, which are closely aligned with her clinical interests. In clinical practice, Dixie works with CBT & Schema Therapy to provide assessment and treatment of complex, co-morbid disorders. She also has a strong interest in neurodiversity and the parenting challenges for mothers with autism & ADHD.

Dr Sally Bradford is a clinical psychologist and National Director of Client Safety and Quality for Open Arms, Veterans and Families Counselling.

Sally has held several executive committee positions across the APS, including the early career representative on the APS Board and both student and early career representative for the ACT Section of the Clinical College. She is also currently a Board Director of Karralika Programs in the ACT.

Her research and clinical interests include e-mental health and innovations in mental health service delivery, working with young people, help-seeking, suicide assessment and crisis support. In 2015, she won the CRC's Association Early Career Researcher Showcase for her PhD, and in 2011 she received both the University of Canberra Medal and APS Honours Prize for her Honours thesis.

I currently hold the position of Clinical Psychology Registrar at Sydney Clinical Psychology, working across their Inner City and Western Sydney offices. I completed my Bachelors at the University of Newcastle, and my Masters at Western Sydney University.

My keen interest in health populations has meant that my clinical work focuses closes on chronic pain management, so I am often working in a multi-disciplinary team environment with Doctors and Physiotherapists. The therapeutic modalities I namely use are CBT, ACT, DBT and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). Like any early career psychologist, I am still figuring out the modalities that fit me best, though I am planning to pursue further training in CFT.

I enjoy giving back to the community - both students pursing careers in psychology, and those affected by Mental Health. I am also a keen traveller and recently ticked off a bucket list item of visiting Scotland!

Rachael is currently completing her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland, after successfully completing her Honours and undergraduate degrees at the Flinders University of South Australia, and the University of Adelaide. Rachael is particularly interested in a breadth of practice, working across the lifespan in a range of therapeutic styles. She is also committed to rural and regional services; having relocated to regional Queensland to complete her masters, and with a plan to return to country SA to work as a clinical psychologist.

Suzanne is a Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing in private practice since 2019 and has a keen interest in providing psychological interventions for chronic pain and trauma. Prior to working in clinical settings, Suzanne worked for 15 years in the occupational rehabilitation industry, assisting people facing work-related mental health issues, injury and trauma and those managing chronic pain. In this field, she led teams of health professionals and oversaw the clinical supervision of many provisional psychologists. Suzanne is interested in how Clinical Psychologists can apply their skills in a wide variety of settings and is passionate about mentoring and supporting the development of new psychologists.

I am originally from Canberra, however I have lived and worked in Darwin for over 10 Years. I completed my masters at CDU, as a member of the first cohort of the Masters program. I started out as the student rep for the committee and have enjoyed working across a number of roles and now NT Chair. I work in private practice working with clients across the life span. I have developed a passion for working with transgender, gender dysphoria, and non-binary clients as well as the broader LGBTQI+ community.

I believe the Clinical College is important to support our profession and encourage our students and early career members be the best they can be. I see my role as helping the committee administratively as well as engaging in event planning and listening to members.

I'm a Clinical Psychologist with a PhD focusing on the area of health psychology/behavioural medicine.

I currently run a private practice in Brisbane and have a particular interest in working with people with regard to relational and attachment problems.

I work from a relational/dynamic framework and love engaging with clients on their personalised therapeutic journey.

I also love whippets, navel-gazing, and buying books I'll never get around to reading.

Dr Kelly Murray is a Clinical Psychologist, working full time in private practice in Melbourne. Kelly enjoys working with clients across the lifespan, and is particularly interested in anxiety, executive function and ADHD, and parenting. She also has an interest in early intervention and supporting healthy development of emotional competence in children and young people.
She volunteered with the State Section in 2019 and wishes to contribute to the profession and more broadly support psychologists working in Victoria.
