Terms of Reference

  1. Develop psychologists' skills and abilities to facilitate the resolution of disputes, by psychologists encouraging disputants to reach their own lawful solutions;
  2. Facilitate accreditation of psychologists in dispute resolution;
  3. Encourage psychologists to apply dispute resolution and promote its use with psychologists as facilitators;
  4. Engage in setting, maintaining and promoting dispute resolution standards;
  5. Research and disseminate findings regarding the psychological and multi-disciplinary aspects of dispute resolution theory and practice;
  6. Educate dispute resolution practitioners regarding the psychological aspects of dispute resolution theory and practice;
  7. Co-operate and affiliate with other organisations to progress the use of dispute resolution.
