Sleep Psychology

About Us

The APS Interest Group on Sleep Psychology provides members with an opportunity to engage with other psychologists who share an interest in the causes and treatment of sleep disturbances and insomnia. The group aims to be of relevance to psychologists in a wide range of settings including clinical work, research, and policy development.

Terms of Reference:

  1. To facilitate communication and information sharing among psychologists interested in the causes and treatment of sleep disturbances and insomnia.
  2. To promote professional development activities and practice relevant to sleep psychology.
  3. To provide a network of psychologists who can respond to emerging issues related to the causes and treatment of sleep disturbances and insomnia.
  4. To promote the role of psychologists as clinicians, researchers, and commentators in relation to the causes and treatment of sleep disturbances and insomnia.
  5. To generate and maintain links with organisations which have a focus on sleep psychology, both within Australia and internationally.
