Committee Information

The following members of the APS Branch Committee have been elected by APS members in a particular geographical area. Please feel free to contact the  Branch Committee members with any queries or suggestions about the activities and events which they organise for all APS members in this area.
 

Chair

Ms Olivia Boer

Olivia Boer is the current chair of the APS Northern Tasmania Branch. Olivia is a clinical psychologist and director of a group allied health practice. She has a specific interest in helping children with anxiety, working with the parents of kids with oppositional and defiant behaviours, and supervising early career psychologists.

Secretary

Miss Emma Langley
Emma is psychologist working both in the disability sector and in private practice. She has recently completed the Masters of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of New England, and will soon commence the clinical psychology registrar program.

Treasurer

Miss Catherine Bishop
Catherine is a Clinical Psychologist working in private practice. Catherine has a specific interest in anxiety disorders and related conditions such as PTSD and OCD. She is also very interested in the role that self-esteem plays in mental health.

Mr Liam Spicer

Liam is a Provisional Psychologist who graduated with First Class Honours in Psychology from the University of Tasmania, where he also graduated with a Bachelor of Philosophy. Liam works at Cornerstone Youth Services, a youth mental health organisation in Launceston, and also at Launceston Therapy Clinic. Liam has a special interest in trauma, dissociation, and grief, where he is currently undertaking a PhD in this area. Liam is currently the treasurer of the APS EMDR Interest group and committee member of the APS Northern Tasmanian branch. He is very passionate about the development and promotion of different treatment approaches for complex presentations, and is a big advocate for youth mental health.
