"Elephants are special in their ability to shape their environment, building trails through dense forest and creating open spaces. This is a metaphor of sorts for my work, in that I emphasize the importance of developing skills to help people utilize their strengths to shape their own environments and create possibilities." Dr Michael Yapko.

This premier professional development event boasts:

  • In this 12-day training designed for health care professionals, participants will learn how to integrate and apply hypnotic and strategic methods in their clinical practices. Didactic presentation and practical experiences will be included to maximize the learning experience.
  • This sequentially organized training begins with a foundational frame of reference supported by scientific research for utilizing clinical hypnosis in psychological interventions.
  • Basic principles and theories are introduced and then practical procedures are developed and implications for treatment will be presented.
  • The course builds upon these skills to design and deliver hypnotic and strategic interventions with an emphasis on utilization principles. The focus is on clinical skills, and using hypnosis in the context of strategic, goal-oriented interventions.
