The Esplanade Hotel Fremantle is the first hotel in WA to promote and undertake a commitment to the environment by announcing its "Living a Cleaner Dream" policy. The Esplanade realises that climate change and greenhouse emissions present pressing global challenges that will only be successfully resolved if the majority of individuals and businesses get serious about reducing their damaging carbon footprint. In 2007 the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle was presented with the inaugural Australian Hotels Association "WA Environmental Initiative Award'.

AAA Tourism Green Star
