The APS Forensic Psychology National Conference will be held in Noosa, Queensland from 4 – 6 August 2011 and the theme is Diversity and Specialism in Forensic Psychology.
The conference will bring together academics, researchers and practitioners from Australia and overseas and will provide a unique insight into the work of forensic psychologists working throughout Australia and overseas, as well as profile the important role that forensic psychology holds at the cutting edge of research and practice.
It is envisaged that that the 2011 Forensic Psychology conference will provide a forum for showcasing our work and addressing some of the many difficult challenges our profession incurs on a daily basis.
Along with an exciting scientific program that will include renowned international and national keynote speakers, concurrent sessions and workshops, social functions will offer the opportunity to network in a very friendly and relaxed environment.
The conference venue is the newly completed Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort and Spa located just 500m from the white sandy beach and the venue is bounded by the magnificent canopies of Noosa National Park and only a short stroll away from Noosa’s famous Hastings Street hub, which features many trendy shops, fashion boutiques, restaurants and art galleries.
The Sunshine Coast is one of Queensland’s fastest growing regions and one of the most naturally beautiful areas of Australia; it captures the essence of the much admired Queensland lifestyle and is natural and unspoilt, with a relaxed quintessentially Australian feel.
Time permitting for those who wish to stay on, the area offers a wide range of leisure pursuits such as golf, gourmet food and wine, health spas, famous attractions, pristine subtropical rainforests, waterways and superb uncrowded beaches.
