About the Directory of College Supervisors

The APS maintains a directory of College supervisors who provide their services to prospective and new college applicants.

The Directory is a member only service. To be included in the Directory of College Supervisors a psychologist must be;

  • A member of the APS
  • A member of a specific College
  • An approved supervisor for the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) Registrar Program

College supervisors are able to use the Directory to

  • promote supervisory services to other College members
  • network with other supervisors
  • form associations for peer consultations

College members, particularly early career members who are not supervisors, will find the Directory search options useful for locating potentially suitable supervisors

  • that meets their needs in their specific college area; and .
  • many of the supervisors in the directory also have a listing at Find a Psychologist, which provides further details and a nuanced search mechanism for assistance in finding a supervisor to suit individual needs.

Visitors to the Directory of College Supervisors should note that the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is the statutory regulator for psychologists in Australia. Anyone using one of the following titles - clinical psychologist, clinical neuropsychologist, community psychologist, educational psychologist, forensic psychologist, health psychologist, organisational psychologist, sport & exercise psychologist, or registered psychologist – must be registered with the AHPRA in order to do so. You are able to check practitioner details on the PsyBA website

The psychologists listed on this directory were listed with PsyBA approved registrar supervisor status (audit conducted January to May 2015). All new supervisors added to the Directory of College Supervisors have PsyBA Registrar supervisor status verified at the time of application.

However, the APS does not monitor or update supervisor status. Variations to supervisor status through events such as lapsed registration, retirement or other events that effect registration status can be viewed via the PsyBA website. The APS recommends that users of the information in this directory verify current supervisor details on the PsyBA website.
