The following members of the APS Branch Committee have been elected by APS members in a particular geographical area. Please feel free to contact the  Branch Committee members with any queries or suggestions about the activities and events which they organise for all APS members in this area.
 

Chair-Elect

Dr Peter Eide
Peter became Chair of the APS Melbourne branch in November 2017. He previously served as deputy chair for over 4 years and has been on the Melbourne committee on the professional development and private practice working party committees for over seven years. Peter works as a Psychologist in private practice in Ascot Vale, Vic. He has an interest in working with men who are struggling to cope with change and have become depressed. Peter is also a directory and supervisor of a not-for-profit low-cost counselling service which provides training for provisional psychologists. Katy is an experienced and committed psychologist. She has been registered with the Psychology Board-Australia since 2007.
She has extensive experience working with children, young people and adults in a wide range of settings including Schools, Universities, Community Organizations, Drug and Alcohol services, Housing Services, Immigration Detention. She currently runs a private practice- Elysium Psychology
She is registered and accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor. She is also affiliated with Deakin University as an Associate Lecturer.
Katy is committed to providing mental health services to the financially disadvantaged. She has founded a not-for-profit Melbourne Affordable Psychology.

Dr Clint Gurtman

Dr. Clint Gurtman is a clinical & forensic psychologist, Senior Lecturer, and co-director of RCP. He received his honours degree in psychology from the University of Sydney and his doctorate in clinical psychology from Monash University. He is highly accomplished in a range of areas of psychological practice. Notably, he is regularly engaged as a consultant to provide assessments and advice on complex psychological matters by clients such as courts, workplaces, and government bodies. He is an experienced and effective therapist in working with a range of high prevalence issues. Clint also holds an academic appointment as a Senior Lecturer, and is committed to training and mentoring future and junior psychologists.
