The Branch was officially formed in 1997 including the centres of Taree, Port Macquarie , and Coffs Harbour.  Ted Campbell was the inaugural Chairperson for the first 4 years of operation until December 2001, with about 60 members.  Ted moved from this role to that of a National APS Director with portfolio responsibilities of Branch and Regional Operations.David Milligan became the Chairperson from Dec 2001 to June 2006, the growth in the region reflecting a growth in current membership approximately 105.

We have members in a variety of areas of psychology some include school education, health and private practice. Our Branch Committee is a team of psychologists that represent the three major regions in the Mid North Coast. The Committee members listed in these pages represent you within the Society and welcome any comments or suggestions from you the members regarding issues you'd like raised or future professional development topics of interest.

The major focus of the Committee is on professional development and high quality workshops by presenters with recognised expertise nationally and internationally have been organised over the years.  

As we are a regional branch we also try to enhance communication through peer consultation networks, which vary in functioning through the three centres of Taree, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.
