Dr Kate O'Brien
Dr Kate O’Brien is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with over a decade of experience working as a trauma therapist in non-profit and public mental health settings. She has specialised in working with complex trauma presentations, including among people seeking asylum (and those held in immigration detention), refugee survivors of torture, and adult survivors of prolonged childhood trauma. She is experienced in working cross-culturally, and believes in taking an individualised approach to understanding what each client needs to find their pathway forward.

Kate is currently completing a certification with the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, and has completed the Refugee Trauma Program with Harvard University. She believes in life long learning, and looks forward to learning from her colleagues on the Trauma and Psychology Interest Group; and serving its member group.

She currently works in private practice and is a Board Approved Supervisor.

Dr Anusha Devi Ramchurn
Anusha is a medicare-registered Psychologist and PsyBA-approved Supervisor, spending the majority of her time delivering evidence-based therapeutic treatment interventions (e.g., CBT/ACT, EFT, and BSFT) one-on-one or within therapeutic groups.

She has a specialised interest in Cognitive Neuroscience and Occupational Psychology, using EEG methodology in her doctoral research. She works closely with people connected to Substance Rehabilitation Services, and those with complex co-morbid presentations.

Anusha is an advocate of Emotional Health Awareness and remains committed to disseminating all that the fields of Psychology and Health Sciences have to offer.

Dr Gayre Christie
Gayre Is originally from Scotland. He did his Honors degree and Masters degree in Educational Psychology. His PhD is from the University of QLD. The main focus of this doctorate was how we decode emotional messages.

He did his EMDR training some years ago.

He is currently president elect of the Australian Society of Hypnosis.

Gayre works as a senior psychologist with QLD Health and also has a private practice. He is interested in chronic pain and the relationship between chronic pain and early trauma. he is also interested in therapeutic complementarities. That is how, different therapeutic modalities may be used to support and compliment each other, in providing therapy and. ameliorating complex presentations. He is a Board Approved Supervisor

Miss Tsz Ying Tsui
Nathalie is a registered psychologist (clinical psychology registrar) and PhD candidate at Australian Catholic University. She works in public mental health within a multidisciplinary team, providing psychological assessment and medium-term therapy for adults experiencing complex mental health challenges. Her clinical interests include mood, personality, trauma-related, eating, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Alongside clinical work, Nathalie’s research focuses on the intersection between autism and eating disorders. Her research aims to better understand the experiences of autistic individuals across the eating disorder care pathway, including identification, assessment, treatment, and recovery, with the goal of informing more accessible and neurodiversity-affirming services.

Mrs Kimbra Butterworth
Kimbra is an adoptee from the Atayal indigenous tribe in Taiwan.
She has experience in working with marginalised and vulnerable populations, trauma, family and domestic violence, and child sexual exploitation and abuse, most significantly whilst overseas in South East Asia. She has consulted in cross-cultural interactions and has a decolonised approach to her work.
She has co-created and delivers anti-racism behaviour change workshops with Reconciliation SA. She has also worked in governement as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Advisor for several years.
Kimbra now serves as a non-executive director for the Australian board of International Justice Mission, the world's largest modern slavery not-for-profit organisation.
She is currently doing her Clinical Psychology Phd.
