Ms Renee McAllister
I am currently Regional Director North Queensland for Act for Kids, a non-government organisation which works to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect. I have been with Act for Kids for 8 years and prior to that I worked in a number of different areas of psychology including private practice, QLD Corrections, Child and Youth Mental Health, Beyond Blue National Post Natal Depression Project and as an organisational consultant in Australia and overseas.
I have been an active member of the APS at both state and regional level for a while as I value the support and professional growth which comes from being a member of my professional body.
Mrs Jutta Dempsey
I am practising mostly within a Child and Family Mental Health area in Private practice (Directions), and have done so since 1996, having previously worked within schools both in Australia and Overseas as well as in Child and Youth Mental Health.
Private Practise brings a different perspective to the types of events (times, topics and networking) that would be of interest and value and I hope that members will share their preferences with me so that the North Queensland APS branch can be relevant to even more members.
As a supervisor, I also have an interest in the 4 plus 2 pathway and the need to make this more accommodating for graduates so that the psychological profession can gain highly trained and valuable members. Our branch networking is able to make this more possible.
Dr Andrew Birtles

I currently work part-time in private practice at On Bundock, and part-time as the Intensive Therapy Program Team Leader at Act for Kids.
