Strong Start Strong Learner responds to DET ECEC 2016-2019 Workforce Action Plan (WAP) priorities by fostering pedagogical leadership capability in the Metro workforce (0-8 Early years educators). The project aims to improve outcomes for children and families through building capability of leaders in Early Childhood services in particular identified geographical communities that present with high vulnerabilities through partnering with our educational leaders committed to learning together, building relationships and strong teams with a focus on community to improve outcomes for all children.

Abstract:

15 minute presentations by Education Queensland  “Strong Start, Strong Learner.”  This project responds to Department of Education and Training Early Childhood Education and Care 2016–2019 Workforce Action Plan (WAP) priorities by fostering pedagogical leadership capability in the Metropolitan workforce (0-8 early years educators). It has a particular focus on understanding and responding to children and families with complex support needs through the provision of a professional development program reflecting best practice in adult learning.
