As of 1 July 2010, current Full Members of the College of Organisational Psychologists received automatic inclusion in the new national register of psychologists with organisational psychology as their Endorsed Area of Practice.
Having organisational psychology recognised in this way is attributable in part to the ongoing efforts of the College's National Regulatory Developments Working Party (NRDWP), a group that has worked hard over the past 3 years to ensure that the needs of organisational psychologists were understood and addressed in the development of the new legislative and regulatory framework.

From 1 July 2010 only those with an area of practice endorsement from the PBA in organisational psychology may call themselves an "Organisational Psychologist."
A person who does not have an endorsement for “organisational psychology” must not use the title. Section 119 of the National Law enables the Psychology Board of Australia to instigate proceedings against a person claiming to hold such an endorsement of registration for an area of practice when he or she does not.
