APS Interest Groups support members with special interests, assist communication between members interested in similar fields and advise the APS on issues related to their area of interest. Interest Group membership is open to all APS members and Interest group committee members are volunteer roles.

Monica is a Counselling Psychologist with more than 25 years’ experience. She has worked as Clin Lead for Road Trauma, WA and Telethon Speech and Hearing and has also worked for Safecare - an agency that specialised in treatment and support when intra-familial sexual abuse has occurred. She has worked in her Private Practice for 15 years in both Vic and WA including facilitating a group treatment program for child sexual offending and internet pornography, and also a support group for women partners of offenders. She is a faculty member of the Australian Training Institute for Child Sexual Abuse Treatment and a Fellow of the APS College of Counselling Psychologists. She has a Master of Psychology (Counselling) and training in EMDR and Clinical Hypnosis. She provides supervision and training for psychologists and allied health practitioners. She is experienced the areas of trauma and sexual abuse and author of “You, Me and a Cup of Tea: Breaking the cycle of child sexual abuse”

Raff is an early career Psychologist with experience working with a broad range of clients. Raff is a Senior Clinician for Caraniche. Raff manages a team of provisional psychologists and administrative staff in male prisons in regional and rural Victoria.
In the prisons, Raff has worked with complex trauma, drug and alcohol use, offenders, victim/survivors and a broad range of other presentations. Raff has experience with individual and group facilitation.
Raff also works for a private practice clinic - Clear Thinking Mental Health Group - in Ballarat, drawing from Schema therapy, Trauma Informed therapy, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy and ACT.
She is an enthusiastic member of the CSA IG and a passionate advocate for victim/survivors and perpetrators of CSA.

Sam is a provisional psychologist working towards general registration in 2023, after completing a Master of Professional Psychology in 2021. She has been working in private practice since graduation with Let’s Talk Counselling and Psychological Services. Sam works with a range of clients but has specialist training and experience within the area of child sexual assault and sexual trauma. Sam works as part of the facilitation team running a community-based treatment program for child sexual abuse and child exploitation material offending. She has experience working with the general population, victims/survivors, and offenders both inside and out of prison.
