Dear APS North Coast Members,

We are pleased to officially announce our Annual End of year Celebration. This is one you will not want to miss!

Of course and much regrettably, we will not be able to meet face to face. That was your committee's preference and we are looking forward to hopefully being able to do so in the New Year. But for now we have put together a great program, that will be informative and hugely Entertaining. We figured we all could do with a bit of light relief after such a big 2020. Presenters will include Byron Bay Comedian Mandy Nolan and Zoom Extraordinaire Les Posen.

Some of you have already registered for our Christmas event, since then we have incorporated more into our package. If you don't mind please re-registering we would appreciate that, as it will guarantee you get your CPD points. If you have any questions please contact Carolyn or our secretary Melissa Allen.

Here is the link with all the details and the link to register.

We very much look forward to seeing you there.

Latest News!

Psychology is a diverse and multifaceted profession and it is easy to feel isolated within such a broad field. Part of our vision for supporting our members in the APS North Coast Branch is to create opportunities for connection and sharing to reduce the sense of isolation in our work and we write to you today with an invitation to do just that:

We would love you to come to our Online Zoom Café on Monday the 28th September from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
Once you RSVP and have been given the Zoom link, you will then login and be greeted by your APS North Coast Committee members in a big group. After some introductions we will break into smaller "break out rooms" online so that we can all meet, share and talk about our work, dreams and aspirations. We will spend a little time in this small group and then we will be sent to a new "break out" room with other members to do the same again. It will be a great opportunity to meet the local community of Psychologists and your APS Committee Members.

To kick things off at the café a member of the local branch committee will be in each breakout room to support the introductions and discussion.    Perhaps some connections will be made that lead to bigger things.  Perhaps you will leave just feeling a little more connected to others in your field.  Maybe there's a job opportunity you didn't know about.  Maybe there is a new way of thinking or doing something in your everyday work that will surprise and energise you. Maybe there will be an introduction to someone in your area you really should know but haven't met yet.  Maybe you will just enjoy a cup of really good coffee in really good company for an hour or so (bring your own coffee/or coffee alternative and snacks).

Please RSVP to our Branch Secretary, Melissa Allen using the Reply to details above so that we can send a Zoom link to you.

Hope to see you there for a virtually great time,

Melissa & the APS North Coast Branch
